Youth Ambassador Mechanicsburg Child Welfare Training Programs - Pennsylvania-Mechanicsburg - (19009007) This position is located in Mechanicsburg, PA The Youth Ambassador brings a youth and foster care perspective to the various state initiatives of the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center (Resource Center). The Youth Ambassador will gain a representative perspective of Pennsylvania's older foster youth through extensive interaction with youth throughout the State who are or have been in substitute care. Based on these interactions, this individual will provide feedback to the Resource Center staff and other statewide stakeholders in efforts to enhance child welfare practices for better outcomes for children, youth, and families throughout Pennsylvania. The Youth Ambassador must be able to effectively articulate experiences as a youth in out-of-home care and have the ability and willingness to share those experiences and make connections to other youth's experiences in a group context. The Youth Ambassador functions as a member of the Statewide Quality Improvement Department. This position requires the following:

A valid driver's license is required. Travel is required for the position. Must be able to travel long distances. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment.
