Wood is seeking a professional GIS Analyst to be responsible for developing and maintaining GIS components for various DoD and other related projects.

Key Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with GIS manager and task managers to effectively integrate GIS to clearly meet project objectives
• Develop and maintain GIS projects utilizing ESRI ArcGIS (and extensions)
• Effectively integrate GIS with other applications (i.e. database, groundwater modeling, CAD, GPS)
• Work with web and database developers to implement and maintain comprehensive web and GIS applications
• Preparation of maps, digitizing, interpretation and analysis of data in GIS
• Preparation of GIS data for use on mobile devices in the field
• Post processes GPS data
• Geo - reference data
• Creates and maintains Geodatabases
• Data management

Skills / Qualifications

• B.S. in Geography or other area of science or equivalent discipline
• GIS certificate or demonstrated record of progressing GIS Training / Cartographic Training
• Experience being an essential part of a team that developed integrated GIS, web, and database applications
• 5+ years’ experience working with GIS
• Demonstrated experience developing GIS applications in an enterprise environment using ESRI ArcGIS
• Demonstrated experience developing high quality maps that effectively communicate target project data
• Must have highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must pass background check and drug screen
• Have the ability to exercise attention to detail and follow oral and written instructions well
• Self - motivating to meet individual goals and maintain accountability
• Ability to multi - task and work in a team environment
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is desired
• Familiarity with engineering is desired
• Utility experience a plus
• Experience with graphics programs (Adobe, etc.) a plus
