Main Purpose of the position is to prevent treat, rehabilitate injuries of student-athletes participating in Miami University Intercollegiate Athletic Program. In addition duties will include maintaining medical records, travel with specific teams, coverage of specific practices and contests.
Assure that all appropriate NCAA/NATA rules, regulations and best practices are implemented and followed as they apply to sports medicine programs. 0.1; Provides medical care through prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries/general medical conditions along with supervision of scheduling pre-participation physical examinations/health appraisals under the direction of the Director of Sports Medicine and Team Physician of designated/assigned athletic programs 0.3; Provide medical coverage of designated/assigned athletic programs for home and away practices and contests as directed by the Director of Sports Medicine 0.2; Maintain appropriate medical documentation and communication of all athletic injury/general medical conditions of athletic programs to Director of Sports Medicine and respective coaches, acting as liaison between physician, athletes, coaches and Director of Sports Medicine along with coordination of current healthcare standards and medical policies 0.2; Maintain annual certification/membership in good standing within the National Athletic Trainer's Association and State of Ohio Licensure as a Certified Athletic Trainer 0.1; Participate in departmental activities including service on committees, attendance at all scheduled meetings, participate in Red and White Club activities and perform all other duties as assigned by athletic administration 0.05; Assists in supervision of athletic training facilities to maintain order and appropriate supply inventory and stocking.

Bachelor's degree in Athletic training; 1-3 years of experience; National Athletic Trainers Association Certification, State of Ohio Licensure, CPR and First Certification. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge/skills/abilities listed above may be substituted. Experience in these knowledge/skills/abilities may be earned concurrently.
