![]() Research Finance Manager Stanford University Grade: G FTE: 100% The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced and resourceful Research Finance Manager (Research Administrator 2) to join a group of dedicated and talented professionals in the central research administration team. This position provides a dynamic opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment, supporting the mission of the Department, and partnering with physician researchers. With a world-renowned faculty, the Department of Pediatrics is an exciting and stimulating place to work and because we are focused on improved excellence, our staff have particularly challenging and rewarding roles. This position may include clinical research and will have exposure to wet lab, dry lab and translational research. This is an ideal role for a research administration professional who is looking to further develop and expand their capabilities within an academic environment. This position is responsible for cost analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, capital equipment acquisition, labor distribution and reporting, including closeout of accounts in their portfolio. The Research Finance Manager will coordinate regularly with faculty, division managers, administrative peers and campus partners and will serve as a primary point of contact for administration of research-related activities in compliance with sponsor, department, and university guidelines and government regulations to ensure smooth management of projects. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' prior experience managing research awards and budgets, preferably in a university environment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to complete work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
