Undergraduate Admissions (UA) provides leadership, planning, management, and implementation of undergraduate admissions, recruitment and outreach services. UA participates in development of campus enrollment goals and ensures that goals are met through implementing UC and UC Davis Academic Senate policy for selective admissions, and fulfilling internal and campus-wide enrollment management initiatives. UA also establishes initial undergraduate student profile data for the UC Davis student records database and determines for each entering undergraduate their academic credit toward a baccalaureate degree.
Under direction of Director of Strategic Diversity Recruitment Initiative and Transfer Programs administer P-20 educational development college-going initiatives and partnerships in new regions of the State and nation. Primary responsibility for the development, implementation and assessment of innovative strategic recruitment and enrollment initiatives of undergraduate students from historically underserved and underrepresented populations and students from urban communities, with an primary focus on the African-American/African diaspora community. Work collaboratively with campus constituents (alumni, advisors, current students, faculty, staff, etc.), secondary schools and districts, California community college partners, community-based and faith-based organizations, and other educational partners. Evaluate the academic needs of students in various communities by researching academic program offerings, analyzing data on student achievement patterns, and designing recommended interventions to strengthen student academic performance and increase the enrollment of undergraduate students (first-year and community college transfers) with primary focus on students from the African-American/African diaspora. Read and score freshman and transfer applications, and evaluate transfer applications for admissibility. Position is based on campus with travel to various parts of California and may include some out of state travel.

Experience in fiscal program development and management.
Knowledge of both public schools (K-12) and the California systems of higher education (CCC, CSU, UC, and AICCU ) which includes knowledge of academic standards, administrative and governance structures, faculty relations, school protocol, school communities, categorical funding, and the Master Plan of Education in California, including California Education Code and Regulations.
Experience working with university alumni, and student-centered and school-centered outreach programs in community-based and faith-based organizations toward increasing the educational achievement, specifically among students from diverse populations and language backgrounds in urban and rural communities.
Interpersonal and leadership skills to interact effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds and organizational levels, and to establish and maintain collaborative relationships.
Communication skills to prepare and deliver oral presentations and to prepare written reports, correspondence, proposals, program assessments, e-mail and other mediums of communication for a variety of audiences, ensuring compliance with departmental and university guidelines, practices and principles.
Experience in communicating UC and CSU admissions requirements to a broad audience.
Computer knowledge and ability to utilize various programs and software in project management including word processing, spreadsheets, student database management systems.
Knowledge of Family Education Rights and Privacy Act and ability to handle and work with confidential records and materials of minors.
