The College in the Schools (CITS) Coordinator develops, manages, and coordinates Lake Superior College's CITS Programming, which serves 27 high schools and over 2,000 students per year through concurrent enrollment, Honors Online, and articulation classes. The CITS Coordinator works independently to administer and manage CITS daily activities, as well as provide advisement to students and other stakeholders. The Coordinator establishes CITS program operating procedures to align with the policies of Lake Superior College, Minnesota State, and The Minnesota Department of Education and to the standards set by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnership (NACEP). This position is responsible for concurrent enrollment reporting to the Minnesota State System Office and for maintaining Higher Learning Commission standards and NACEP accreditation for any concurrent enrollment courses offered at the high schools. This position serves as the CITS program point of contact for LSC faculty mentors and high school superintendents, principals, counselors, teacher, and students. Reporting to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, this position collaborates closely with the Perkins Coordinator on articulation, enrollment, and promotional activities.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Marketing, Education or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent computer skills in using work processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications, such as MS Office, to prepare e-mails, memos, letters, reports, etc
Demonstrate the ability to make presentations to large groups of people, (e.g. rotary or teaching experience or completion of public speaking class)
Effective oral, interpersonal, public speaking and written communication skills
Ability to work with varied internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrate good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Valid Driver's License
Ability to travel independently on behalf of the college. Occasional overnight travel is required
Ability to problem solve and apply policies consistently and fairly
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Experience working in a high school or college environment
Experience with ISRS or another data management system
Experience in advising students
Knowledge of Minnesota State system and policies
