Hiring Department Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department Application Deadline December 15, 2019 Full Time/Part Time Full Time, benefit eligible Salary $11.54 - $13.60/hour Job Description Basic Function & Responsibilities: To support undergraduate students and the Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers by processing personnel action forms and scholarship applications, organizing and attending Academy induction weekend events and meetings. Job Functions: Support the Academy of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineers on all projects requested by the Board of Directors. Coordinate the annual induction dinner, membership meeting, board meeting and spouse/guest event. Attend and take minutes at Board meetings as well as committee meetings. Responsible for maintaining the Academy website, updating the Academy data base and producing the membership biographical directory. Provide assistance and information to undergraduate students and process undergraduate/graduate hourly student personnel actions. Maintain department database of undergraduate appointments and hours worked as well as process visiting undergraduate student payments. Responsible for insuring approval of biweekly and monthly timesheets, monitoring student time sheets, assisting with input of time sheets/corrections as requested. Responsible for the undergraduate departmental and Academy scholarship program. Oversight of the Department work study program and provide assistance to department faculty search committees, including HR related documents. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience for which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired. Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and PeopleSoft. Education or training beyond high school may be substituted for experience. Ability to keyboard proficiently is necessary.
