Faculty Position Information:Position Title:Lecturer; Assistant, Associate or Full Teaching or Practice Professor of FinanceAppointment Type:FacultyJob Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Department within the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for one or more term faculty members to teach multiple sections or courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in Finance and/or Actuarial Science for Fall semester 2020. The successful candidate(s) will be able to deliver using one or more of the following modes: online, on campus, blended, or flipped; and participate in department service activities. The position may also include a research component, requiring the faculty member to maintain AACSB accreditation qualification standards. Faculty rank will be assigned based off successful candidates' education and experience in accordance with department and college governance documents. Course load and length of contract is dependent upon departmental needs, with the possibility of renewal.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Masterâs Degree in Finance or closely related field; Must meet the collegeâs faculty qualification standards for AACSB Accreditation; For those applying at the level of full Professor of Teaching, a minimum of 6 years of teaching experience within higher-education is required, in addition to the above; for those applying at the level of full Professor of Practice, extensive professional experience is required, in addition to the above.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in Finance or closely related field; Professional industry experience (e.g., financial services, insurance, corporate finance); Professional credentials in finance (e.g., CFA) or actuarial science (e.g., FSA, ASA, FCAS, ACAS); Experience teaching within higher education; Solid technological skills to support use of online instructional tools
