Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Assistant for the Department of Ambulatory Care Services at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under direction, the Program Assistant assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of programs within Ambulatory Care Services VCC Quality Assurance. This position provides administrative and program support to the Coordinator and the Executive Director.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Prepares comprehensive report and presentations. Responds to inquiries as directed and distributes informational materials according to University policy and practice.
Audits the customer service quality of patient scheduling and inquiries. Prepares feedback and provides reports to practice management staff.
Coordinates and conducts orientation of new staff. Participates in the development of training materials for orientation and continuing education.
Responsible for coordinating the training calendar, including orientation, continuing education, meetings, workshops, etc.
Identifies continuing education needs through evaluation of audit feedback reports.
Oversees implementation of administrative decisions and the maintenance of official records of program and related program activities.
Serves as principal liaison with various administrative units of the University such as Ambulatory Care, Practice Management, call agents, team leads, telecommunications, software vendors, etc.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Social Science or a related discipline
One (1) year of related experience in a business office, government agency or university setting
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements
