Responsible for coordinating front of house staffing and activities for the College of Performing Arts productions. Including but not limited to, managing front of house operations, audience engagement, audience outreach, assist in marketing projects, manage customer promotions, and provide a high level of customer service, and attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and education.
Two years of professional experience in performing related functions.
Experience in front of house management, patron services, or event management.
Ability to be trained and maintain certification in CPR and AED.
Proven strong time management skills and initiatives to plan, prioritize, and complete multiple assignments with fluctuating deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills to interact positively with a diverse group of individuals comprised of general public, students, staff, faculty, and other University stakeholders.
Ability to work and maintain composure, demonstrate tact and diplomacy in busy work locations across campus in the presence of students, faculty, staff, campus guests.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to constantly shifting of priorities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow University policies and procedures.
Strong written communication skills to prepare, edit, and proofread clear, concise, and grammatically correct correspondence and other documents.
Experience using standard office equipment: computer, printer, fax, copier, scanner, and calculator. Computer skills in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, calendaring, internet browser, applications preferably in Microsoft Office Suite software.
Strong technical skills to learn and use technical programs such as: enterprise systems, ticketing, scheduling, and web editing applications and tools.
Attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate files and procedures.
Must be able to effectively hire, supervise, train, schedule, and lead a team of student employees, practicum students, and volunteers.
Will be knowledgeable of emergency and evacuation procedures at events.
Must be present at most events that usually occur on nights and weekends.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes night and weekends.
Must be able to work in multiple venues on campus, occasionally managing multiple events in multiple locations on a single evening and/or weekend.
May need to assist at off campus performances.
Knowledge of theatre, dance, and music productions, recitals and events, preferably in higher education.
Advanced Front of house and/or event management experience.
