Entry level with one year of federal contracting specialist experience through senior level contract specialists with 16 or more years of federal acquisition experience with applicable education and certifications.
Our client is expanding their workforce! We have an active long-term Federal contract to provide a wide range of acquisition services for our client in Herndon, VA.
These positions manage a rigorous workload for a Federal agency with a wide breadth of contract work and career opportunities. The work environment is very contractor friendly with a collaborative and collegial work force.
We are very interested in speaking with transitioning military contracting personnel, contracting interns, former, retired and retiring GS-1102s, and civilians with the required training and experience to perform in this highly specialized federal industry.

Responsibilities & Duties:
The Contract Specialist will hit the ground running to provide the full range of procurement related support services for the customer’s acquisition activities including:
Pre-Award Acquisition Support
Award/Selection Support including Contract Award Documents and Contract Award Acquisition Support
Post-Award Acquisition Support
Entry level positions support micro purchases and require a minimum of a high school degree with 3 years of federal contracting experience, demonstrating relevant knowledge and direct experience of procurement practices and procedures
Education may be used in lieu of some experience
Senior level positions work on high dollar value, complex purchases and require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of directly relatable experience
Experience with supply and service contracts
DAWIA Contracting certificate or FAC-C certification or equivalent within the last 4 years
Military or DoD acquisition training and experience
Previously held warrants
Experience preparing Research and Development contracts
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience performing market research to support contract preparation
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with a high volume and variety of people daily
Customer Services mindset, as you work closely with stakeholders
Experience utilizing federal procurement software
