Support the Office of Alumni, Parent, and Family Programs in executing alumni, parent, and family-related activities and fundraising initiatives. Manages all aspects of the online registration system for events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and manage the planning, organization, and implementation of alumni, parent, and family events. This includes the online registration process, and working with both internal and external constituencies to ensure a high level of quality and success for events.
Work closely with the Director of Alumni, Parent, and Family Programs to create and support a strong presence for graduates.
Manage the operational aspects of events planned and managed by the Office of Alumni, Parent and Family Programs. This includes utilizing the online system for event registration and tracking.
Possess a working knowledge of electronic communications for Alumni, Parent, and Family Program initiatives, including the University's Alumni, Parent, and Family webpage, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and iModules solutions.
Work with the Department of Athletics to engage alumni athletes through sports reunions and other initiatives to cultivate support of Friends of Seahawk Athletics.
Work with and develop/assemble the Senior Challenge Committee to assist in the management of the Senior Class gift program.
Assist the Director of Alumni, Parent, and Family Programs in identifying and cultivating active volunteers for regional programming and event committees.
Perform other duties as required by the Director of Alumni, Parent, and Family Programs.
Assist with the operational aspects of Corporate Golf and the Governor's Ball. This includes event logistics, working with outside vendors and internal offices in the planning and coordination of these signature events.
LICENSES, TOOL, AND EQUIPMENT:
Valid driver's license.
A Bachelor's degree is required for this starting position in the field of alumni relations and advancement; previous event management and alumni relations experience a plus. Salve Regina University graduate strongly preferred. Must be comfortable communicating with, and marketing to young alumni. A strong knowledge with web 2.0 capabilities a must. Demonstrated ability to co-manage the operational aspects of large, complex fundraising events.
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills required. Must be a highly motivated self-starter. Will require some travel, locally, regionally and/or nationally. Ability to work evenings and weekends necessary. Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet required. Must be pliable, dedicated, conscientious and people-oriented, with the ability to work unsupervised.
