The Rockefeller University seeks a CBC Supervisor to join Comparative Bioscience Center. The Supervisor will manage work assignments of 1-2 Group Leaders and various Animal Technicians. Responsibilities include monitoring work performance, completing annual performance evaluations, writing SOPs, handling scheduling and timesheets, and ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the workplace.
Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Must be certified at the AALAS Laboratory Animal Technician level and have a minimum of five years of experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge and experience with all state and federal rules governing animal research necessary. Must have the ability to recognize common animal laboratory illnesses and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for proper animal care. Knowledge of various biohazardous agents and how to minimize the risk of exposure required.
