Reporting to the Director of Audiology Services, this position provides clinical support, administrative coverage and and financial analysis for the Audiology Clinic. The incumbent will provide a high-volume of business support duties for the Audiology, Cochlear Implant and Hearing Aid Dispensing Clinic. In addition, the incumbent will serve as a receptionist/Cochlear Implant Coordinator and patient authorization/documentation coordinator, including for new CCS requirements. The incumbent must have good judgment, experience, solid decision making and communication skills and the ability to understand required campus policies and procedures and new CCS requirements. Incumbent must also have basic understanding of Kuali Financial System (KFS) and analytical skills as they will play an ongoing key role in Audiology's transaction-based reimbursement submissions, budget monitoring, expense approvals and review of financial reports. Incumbent is accountable for ensuring organization's goal of increasing automation within the department, either via existing or new technology or process improvements while ensuring compliance with government mandated HIPAA requirements in the ambulatory area. The incumbent registers patients and verifies insurance and/or third party coverage.
