QSC is seeking a talented and experienced FP&A Manager to join its Corporate Finance team. This role will be responsible for business-critical processes and will partner with senior leaders throughout the organization. The FP&A Manager will lead a newly-formed FP&A team consisting of 2-3 staff, and will report to the Vice President of Finance. This role will work closely with stake holders to develop financial projections for forecasts, the annual budget and the long-range strategic plan. This is a highly visible role within QSC with the ability to enact substantive change and improvements to overall reporting and analysis within the Company. The FP&A manager must have the ability to lead and provide overall vision for the FP&A group while also having the ability to get into the details and accomplish detailed tasks.
Provide senior management with budgets and periodic forecasts, including the following;
Profit and loss (income statement)
Operating performance for the upcoming quarter and year.
Product margins and performance (also Business Unit performance)
Customer margins and performance
Regional margins and performance
Ownership of the overall budget process, including the annual operating budget as well as rolling budgets.
Works with the following functions: Accounting, IT, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product Development
Establish governance within the organization in regards to budgets, forecasting, and long range planning.
Analyze trends and provide updates to business drivers for variances
Provide ad-hoc support and modeling of business cases (make vs buy for new products, for example)
Provide financial targets to achieve a strong balance sheet and operating profits
Work closely with cross functional groups to provide objective financial results
Identify and ensure the business focus on key initiatives
Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in finance-related discipline (accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics, MBA, etc…)
Over 7 years of work experience within the FP&A discipline
Work experience with mid-size to large companies with high growth preferred.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities. Good communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to problem solve and work with various functions at QSC (Supply Chain, IT, Sales, Manufacturing, etc…)
Proven ability to work closely with internal IT personnel. This role will work closely with the QSC IT team to implement finance business requirements into our Oracle ERP and reporting systems. Strong background in large ERP systems and reporting tools is preferred. Hands-on experience with adopting and implementing new reporting tools is preferred.
Experience working with accounting teams, including product costing and margin analysis. Product development and manufacturing is a strategic area within QSC. As such, experience with cost accounting terminology and methodologies is preferred.
