The Student Affairs department at the School of Medicine is seeking an experienced Office Support Assistant IV. The selected candidate will provide a high level of initiative, organization, and detail while providing high-quality work.
Complete degree verifications and licensure inquiries for alumni, working within the department, with other UMKC departments, and with state licensing boards to provide accurate, timely information.
Provide administrative support to students, staff, faculty, and student organizations.
Keep track of long-term projects and tasks such as immunizations, data entry, holiday requests, special projects, travel reimbursements, student organization financial activities, and other duties as assigned.
Schedule meetings, greet, and provide information and assistance to office visitors while using own knowledge of office information, policies, and procedures.
Provide relevant resources and information to others to address their specific needs while engaging in active listening and open dialog to accurately understand others' problem, issue, or situation.
Successful applicant will be a positive thinker with proven problem-solving abilities, and ability to work well with interruptions.
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Bachelor's degree preferred and three years of job-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Strong administrative skills with prior experience in an administrative setting
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Customer-service oriented with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Strong attention to detail is critical
