As the Director of Real Estate, you will assure the Company meets its development goals throughout the assigned development area by evaluating proposed locations and providing strategic direction to direct reports. Oversees coordination efforts with the leadership to assure franchisees are qualified to grow and that the areas are cleared for development. Maintains a comprehensive development plan for all areas of responsibility. Review site packages (SEF’s) submitted to ensure the site and lease meet the Company’s requirements. Possess a working knowledge of construction and equipment requirements for Little Caesar stores. Train new Real Estate Managers and direct them as may be required. This is a home office position that can be based in Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Baltimore/DC or in the New York area. Multiple positions are available.
Responsible for overseeing approval of all store location proposals within assigned region to ensure all locations meet the Company’s criteria for demographics, visibility, access, parking and construction.
Responsible for leading and managing a team of real estate managers to ensure the assigned region meets or exceeds the annual store development goal.
Maintain consistent communication with team to assure the pace of store openings will be sufficient to meet the set goal for the region and if not, react quickly and early to find solutions.
Work with the National Director, Real Estate to establish an overall development goal for each market in assigned region. Communicate and execute a strategy to support the success of the set regional goals by leading a team of real estate managers.
Utilize historical knowledge and insights to provide recommendations for meeting or exceeding the development goals for the region.
Maintain consistent communication with others in the region that have a stake in assuring development goals are achieved. Work with team to overcome any development challenges that may arise.
Oversee training program for franchisees about the fundamentals of site selection, lease negotiation and construction. Use own knowledge to suggest enhancements to existing programs.
Manage the evaluation process of the Site Evaluation Form (SEF) for assigned region to ensure the site and lease terms proposed by the franchisee meet Little Caesar criteria.
Train new Real Estate Managers hired into the Company. Conduct performance reviews and other management tasks to assure they are directed properly.
Conduct research, analysis and interpretation of data to refine and improve on established practices.
Exercises independent thought in refining new solutions to complex loosely defined problems.
Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent work experience may be considered.
Seven (7) years in a real estate development management role.
Proven ability to comprehend and analyze information and can provide thorough feedback.
Demonstrated knowledge of legal issues relating to real estate development.
Proven experience in project management including: documentation, timeline development and execution, and effective and timely communication with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to achieve results through others.
Executive presence and comfort in all interactions with colleagues, senior-level management and critical external stakeholders.
Highly collaborative leadership style. Ability to work cross functionally with individuals and teams.
Demonstrated ability to make sound business judgments in a complex, fast paced environment.
Ability to build credibility and trust by demonstrating high ethical standards. Extreme discretion, as work involves confidential and sensitive information.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, persuasion, and teamwork skills.
The ability to travel a minimum 50% and adhere to the LCE Travel Policy and Guidelines as stated in the colleague handbook.
This job requires ability to travel 50 – 75% of the time, by way of a variety of transportation modes.
This job requires ability to travel throughout the region as well as ability to secure and maintain necessary credit and passport/visa/government documentation required to do so.
