JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of a ProjectDirector, this position supervises all System of Care grant-related familyengagement and support activities. Supervises Certified Family SupportSpecialists (CFSSs) working with youth and families through the System of Caregrant (Wraparound Shelby). Supports and assists staff who interface withchild-serving, educational, and human/social services systems. Works withgrant-partners providing technical assistance, training, and support to UTHSCand community provider staff, families served, and the community.
Participates as a member of the System of Care's core leadership team.
Develops partnerships with County Mental Health Systems (CMHS) program staff, child serving agencies, and community partners to convey the value of investing in family involvement activities.
Oversees, executes, and tracks the progress of strategic plans and the System of Care work plan.
Partners with System of Care staff, mental health program staff, and family organizations to identify families involved in System of Care governance body, committees, and all System of Care activities.
Coordinates ongoing trainings and technical assistance to build family leadership, establish family/professional partnerships, and implement family-driven practices. Identifies, recruits, prepares, and supports family and professional leaders as co-trainers and presenters.
Recruits and supports diverse family voice/participation representing the cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the population of focus in the strategic planning process.
Partners with the System of Care core team to implement the day-to-day activities of the cooperative agreement and participates in all administrative team meetings/discussions.
Serves as one of the family member representatives on the governance body.
Develops and coordinates a family group/partner with an existing family organization.
Ensures that focus families attain access to information necessary to improve plans for individual children and their families.
Participates in all CMHS-mandated meetings for systems of care, planning calls, learning opportunities, and ongoing calls with the Technical Assistance Partnership.
Provides professional development and education focused on community and family.
Develops training opportunities focused on overall family well-being as part of the healthcare delivery system.
