Applications are invited for a non-tenure-track, 12-month faculty appointment in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Pharmacy. This faculty position at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor rank will support the educational and teaching mission and strategic initiatives of the UMKC School of Pharmacy with a practice site based in oncology practice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to pharmacy students enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Academic responsibilities specific to this Oncology Clinical Faculty Position will include the following: didactic lecturing; provision of inter-professional education; elective and required course instruction and/or development; skills based assessment; and provide integration of oncology related topics and coursework into the pharmacotherapy, advanced pathophysiology, and communications applied skills coursework design. They will also be expected to contribute to the creative and scholarly pursuits of the Division. Service to the UMKC School of Pharmacy, the School, its Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration, the University and profession are expected through participation in faculty meetings, service on School committees, and participation in state and national professional organizations.
Candidates must have an earned Pharm.D. with a PGY1 residency or equivalent experience, and must be eligible for Kansas and Missouri pharmacy licensure. Candidates with any level of advanced oncology training desired.
The SOP offers an entry-level Doctor of Pharmacy degree with an average entering class size of 95 in Kansas City and 30 each in Columbia and Springfield. The Division of Pharmacy Practice is comprised of over 40 energetic faculty representing a broad array of disciplines.
