The Abraham Joshua Heschel School is currently seeking a full-time Chemistry Teacher for our High School division for the 2020-21 school year. The ideal candidate would be able to take on honors chemistry or general chemistry classes and adapt the curriculum to either skill level, run engaging and well-managed laboratory activities, and manage the inventory of chemical substances and laboratory equipment with attention and care. Experience or background teaching introductory physics is a plus.
Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Masters or PhD preferred
Master degree in Education preferred
Experience teaching chemistry at a high school or university level

We are a laptop school in which every student and faculty member works with a laptop in the classroom (one per person), and every classroom has a smartboard. The building is a full, wireless environment. In addition, we have three state of the art laboratories and ample prep space.
