Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing. License to practice nursing in NY State. Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible positions in nursing supervision, administration and instruction . E xperience with medical quality assurance. Must have strong knowledge of an Electronic Medical Records system and the ability to report descriptive data utilizing Microsoft suite or equivalent software.
Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing or Medical Field. Additional 2 years of full-time medical quality assurance experience. Experience with medical service compliance and case management programs, auditing medical records and providing data reports to management. Experience with the following patient populations: ptsd/depression, cancer. Experience working with government funded programs. Familiar with 9/11 responders or the first responder population.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Incumbent's role will be to ensure a high level of patient care and compliance through medical education and outreach. As a point of contact for patient outreach, the incumbent will educate patients on cancer screening and important testing to motivate adherence to the diagnostic and treatment plans. The incumbent will monitor and measure clinical quality outcomes through chart reviews and audits. The incumbent will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Project Manager and IT Supervisor to coordinate audits and data analysis. The Incumbent will work closely with the Nursing Supervisor and the Case Management and Member Services Administrator to enhance continuity of care, ensure that there is cohesion and collaboration between the two clinic specialties between clinical visits.

Review and communicate urgent or stat results to the provider to follow up with members. If directed, follow-up with member providing required medical information and education.
Be point person for incoming calls from member services line or messages in patient portal to deal with medical questions from our members. Triage calls and deal efficiently with member questions.
Review all lab reports, ColoGuard reports, radiology reports, cancer screening results and other important test results, appropriately triage, and ensure timely follow-up communication with the members.
Play a key role in member adherence to appointments post monitoring visit, by identifying non-compliant members and outreaching to these members to motivate timely follow-up. Work collaboratively with Case Management and Member Services to enhance our compliance program.
Ensure Quality Assurance in the Clinical areas: review records, measure outcomes, provide reports, implement and assess improvements. Provide training and feedback to staff to ensure compliance.
Play a primary leadership role on the administrative team and quality assurance committee to ensure collaborative solutions to administrative and clinical operation and quality problems. Participate in quality assurance projects, audits, chart reviews and other data collection projects. Spearhead and coordinate clinical improvement projects under the direction of the Director of Administration in order to meet Program QA goals.
