MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The candidate for the position of ServiceNow Developer must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field such as computer science, computer information systems, etc., or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in information technology, higher education, or another related field.
Two or more years of experience working with ServiceNow including experience configuring an ITSM service catalog.
Foundational knowledge of the development and configuration of software solutions.
Ability to understand and work with large, complex systems.
Foundational understanding of security concepts and secure code development techniques.
Experience writing test cases for new and existing code to ensure compatibility and stability.
Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide both detailed information as well as summaries to peers and supervisors.

The ServiceNow Developer configures and develops the ServiceNow platform for the university. The ServiceNow Developer ensures that the ServiceNow application meets the needs of a broad range of customers, partners, and key stakeholders by translating requirements into configuration and code that enhances the user experience and creates business value. As a member of ITS, the ServiceNow Developer demonstrates ITS values in action.
The ServiceNow Developer:
Configures and develops the ServiceNow platform, including business rules, workflows, user interface actions, notifications, and all other functionality.
Authors unit, end-to-end, and user-acceptance test cases. Fulfills on-call responsibilities for the ServiceNow solution as required.
Provides backup support to senior staff as needed. Is flexible, able to work during non-business hours, and/or available to assist with emergencies during holiday or weekend hours, as needed.
Communicates and presents problem-solving rationale within a variety of settings and to diverse audiences. Works collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and vendors to understand specifications and deliver features based on business requirements. Participates in open sharing of ideas and opinions.
Supports the planning of projects and tasks. Contributes to the development and execution of best-in-class processes and procedures. Ensures alignment with university and ITS goals and customer needs. Supports university compliance and security governance and policies by embedding standards, procedures, and quality measures into work plans and workflows.
