The University of Dayton, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference and Pioneer Football League, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach. The Assistant Football Coach will assist the head coach in organization, planning and directing all aspects of our Division I football program. The assistant coach will primarily instruct, train and coach the quarterbacks on the offensive line game and skills required along with possible coordinating responsibilities (dependent upon experience). This coach will instruct student-athletes for purposes of academic, social development, compliance requirements, and safety and health considerations; will recruit quality student-athletes for the program, will assist with program leadership duties, including directing the coaching staff on the offensive line, team composition, competition strategies and peak performance; will engage in team operations, including travel and video analysis of play execution and game strategy; and will perform additional duties related to coaching (e.g., compliance education, budget management, housing coordinator, serve as Alumni relations liaison and other duties as assigned by head coach). UD Athletics employees are expected to comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University, the NCAA and the Atlantic 10 Conference. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in all aspects of coaching student-athletes and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership, sportsmanship and academics. Bachelor's Degree Experience playing or coaching the quarterback position at the collegiate level, Experience with non scholarship football recruiting.
Experienced with video equipment and video editing, Experienced in working collegiate sports camps, Must be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, and Possess a valid state issued driver's license, maintain a low risk driving record and be able to be insured by the university.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
