Valencia College is seeking Professors of Computer Program Analysis to join our dedicated, passionate faculty team as a 10-month tenure-track appointment beginning Fall 2020.
This faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses in Computer Information Technology and Computer Programming and Analysis. Other teaching assignments in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Computing Technology and Software Development or in the Associates of Science degree in Computer Programming may be made as needed by the Department.

10-month, Tenure-Track -
Ten-month, tenure-track professors are, in addition to teaching in discipline, responsible for curriculum development, selection of discipline resources, assists in the development and evaluation of faculty and participates in college governance activities. As a 10-month, tenure track faculty member, you will be on a continuing contract to teach 5 courses, maintain 10 office hours, and 10 college service hours that may include, but not limited to serving on committees and work teams, research and special projects.
Valencia’s tenure-track professors must successfully complete a five-year tenure earning process for continued employment.

The Ideal Candidate will have:
Master's degree or higher conferred from a regionally accredited institution in computer science, computer technology, computer programming, computer information systems, computer-based information systems (e.g., management, decision), software engineering, computer engineering or information technology or 18 graduate semester hours in computer science, computer technology, computer programming, computer information systems, computer-based information systems (e.g., management, decision), software engineering, computer engineering or information technology + a master’s degree
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and student-centered learning
Experience working with students of various ages and cultural, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds
Knowledge of the community college and its mission and goals
