Primary Purpose: Responsible for providing student academic support, advanced administrative support and assistance to the program director and department chair in the management of a large program fulfilling university, school, and program objectives.
Essential Functions: Student Academic Support: 1. Coordinates and conducts student admissions on-site tours and information sessions; provides program enrollment information, and supports Admissions Committee Chair/DPT Graduate Program Director through management of the PTCAS online application system and WebAdmit. 2. Supports program graduates and DPT Graduate Program Director with necessary documentation and paperwork for state licensure. 3. Serves as program liaison between students, financial aid, student accounts, registrar, and graduate school. 4. Complies with State and Federal privacy acts, including HIPAA and other compliance agency regulations.
Unit Administrative support 1. Performs advanced & confidential administrative duties for Program Director and Department Chair using in-depth knowledge of the unit, school, and university policies. 2. Manages budgets, accounting, purchasing, financial forecasting, and record keeping for unit including but not limited to: processing accounts payable and/or reimbursement requests in timely manner, reconciling and processing Pro-Card activity and statements, and maintaining accurate spreadsheets and banner records of all the units budgets. 3. Composes, edits and proofs letters, memoranda and reports ensuring layouts are consistent with established University procedures. 5. Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves issues in accordance with university expectations and external accreditation standards and/or requests. 6. Supports units faculty and staff including but not limited to: composing, editing, proofing reports, letters and marketing documents; and other routine office duties. 7. Hires, supervises and trains units work-study students.
Clinic Support 1. Supports faculty coordinator of on-site clinic assisting with scheduling client appointments and ordering clinic supplies.
Minimum Qualifications: One year of post-high school education Three (3) years experience administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree
Skills/Knowledge and Expertise: Proficient in MS Office software and Banner and proven customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions; ability to work independently under general direction; and ability to prioritize work effectively.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative but not definitive of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment with use of computer and phone. Requires extended periods of sitting, repetitive hand/wrist motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs. Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Work Environment/Work Week/Travel: Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment. Work performed during standard business hours. May require travel off campus. Valid drivers license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the Universitys fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The Universitys insurance carrier reserves the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.
Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience, non-exempt, 40 hours per week
