Job Scope: The Director of Strength Training and Conditioning will coordinate all S&C activities for the Department of Athletics. Included would be all in-season and out-of-season programs used by student athletes.
Emphasis on safety for all ONU campus uses.
Compliance with NCAA in-season and out-of-season regulations.
Create and supervise sport workout programs.
Manage any future S&C staff.
Stay up-to-date on new developments.
Communicate with Athletics administration any issues that occur.
Provide instruction in proper and safe lifting techniques with an emphasis on free weight training and Olympic lifting.
Expertise in demonstrating and coaching a variety of agility, speed, and conditioning exercises, drills and techniques with student athletes across several sports programs.
Monitor progress of all athletes through computer charting and analysis of daily training; counsel student-athletes in the area of performance enhancement.

Ability to program, implement and monitor sport specific weight training and conditioning programs for assigned sports.
Ability to communicate proficiently with individuals within and outside the University by telephone and email.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
This position involves knowledge of extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, strength training software, and Microsoft Outlook, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, good organizational skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
Coordinate scheduling; and work well with athletic and university administrative staff.
The candidate is expected to have knowledge of NCAA and/or OAC rules and agree to adhere to same
Minimum Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in exercise physiology, physical education, or related field. Either CSCS or CSCCa certification along with CPR/First Aid certifications.
Prior experience in an educational environment with interns and/or students.
Familiarity with NCAA compliance
Experience in strength and conditioning in NCAA Division III.USAW Level I certification is preferred.
