Position provides technical support to the Cardiology department in the assigned Network clinic. Required Qualifications
Must be RDCS or CCI Certified with two years recent experience as a Cardiac Sonographer in an acute care or outpatient setting.
Experience in operating various types of ultrasound equipment used in echocardiography.
Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, cardiac structures in normal states and in disease process, and knowledge of standards and measurements.
Writing skills, using proper English grammar, spelling and punctuation, sufficient to compose messages and/or routine correspondence, which is clear, concise and easy to understand.
Knowledge of practices and protocols related to a medical office environment. Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to communicate effectively with patients, health care providers and insurance company representatives regarding appointments, services, procedures, authorizations and referrals.
Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural coding sufficient to assist with identifying services performed or coordination of care for echocardiography studies.
Knowledge of all pertinent laws, regulations, and guidelines governing medical records; confidentiality, privacy, and provision to others, including HIPAA.
