The candidate for the position of Collaboration Manager must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or related field, or equivalent experience
3-5 years of experience in collaboration technologies including, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), Azure, Tableau, or SmartSheet
Strong track record of building productive and successful IT support teams and developing talent
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Senior Leadership
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and opinions

The Collaboration Manager integrates and supports a broad range of collaboration tools to optimize customer and stakeholder experience and productivity. The Collaboration Manager collaborates with customers, partners, and key stakeholders in administrative and academic units to provide best-in-class services by identifying and implementing new tools and modernizing existing tools to enhance the customer experience at USC. As a member of ITS, the Collaboration Manager demonstrates ITS values in action. The Collaboration Manager is responsible to lead an essential digital campus program defined by: strong architecture, user adoption, organizational change management and business process development and automation.
Drives the IT transformation vision and develops strategy, and roadmap for collaboration and productivity platforms in partnership with ITS leadership
Defines and delivers solutions using Office365, Email, Exchange, email routers, Microsoft ecosystem, G Suite, Slack, DropBox, Zoom, Qualtrics and Microsoft SharePoint. Leads all technical aspects of Microsoft Exchange on-line enterprise-wide messaging to deliver reliable and secure services
Establishes business management reports and dashboards and generates data driven actionable insights. Serves as a subject matter expert and interacts with customers, senior management, with ITS teams, and vendor partners
Leads modernization, digital transformation, workflow automation, and related process re-engineering efforts for collaboration, conferencing, and productivity tools.Â Educates the user community on features and capabilities through presentations and demonstrations
Oversees governance and project management activities for the productivity and collaboration product line to ensure user adoption, while simultaneously providing standardization necessary for security, compliance and discoverability. Builds, leads and develops high performing and agile team members. Creates and leads the execution compelling end user adoption strategies. Ensure Collaboration Team Members proper participation in ITS change management, Incident Management and Problem Management practices
Continually develops skills, knowledge, and abilities in collaboration technologies. Maintains awareness of emerging technologies and makes recommendations on adoption
Contributes to an inclusive environment that values differences by building and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members, peers, and ITS leaders.
